Chambre de Madame de Sévigné

La Chambre de Madame de Sévigné (Suite)

Elegance, Grace & Timeless French Style

Named for Madame de Sévigné (1626–1696), the celebrated French writer whose witty and intimate correspondence offers a remarkable window into aristocratic life during the reign of Louis XIV, La Chambre de Madame de Sévigné captures the romance and elegance of historic France. The room blends 19th-century Louis XV Revival antiques and Belle Époque furnishings with the character of our early-19th-century Creuse home, creating an intimate retreat for couples or solo travellers who appreciate authentic antiques and historic surroundings.

The room combines period character with modern comfort, including air-conditioning, a sitting area and a spacious private bathroom with a soaking tub. Complimentary homemade breakfast, bed linens, towels and fibre-optic Wi-Fi are included, along with access to the shared spaces of the house, including the dining rooms, living room and library, and garden.

La Chambre de Madame de Sévigné accommodates a maximum of two guests and offers an authentic chambres d’hôtes experience rather than a conventional hotel stay. Guests can further personalize their visit with our Table d’Hôtes dining options, romantic extras and additional services, designed to make a stay in the heart of the Creuse even more memorable.
